Who We Are

 

The Seattle Alliance of Black School Educators is a nonprofit organization that communicates the need for all students to graduate from High School better prepared for College, work and life. SABSE is a coalition of educators from diverse fields committed to providing professional support to teachers and other professions of African descent who will assume leadership positions in education to influence
public policy. We offer a variety of activities, events and projects designed to involve African American youth, parents, teachers, district personnel and the community in all phases of African American life within the public school program. We strive to support local school systems to assure a quality, culturally responsive education for all students.

OUR MISSION
To enhance and facilitate the education and social development of all students, especially students of African descent throughout the Seattle and Puget Sound School Districts.

OUR VISION
To assist and support schools in providing a premier education for all students especially African American Students.

HOW WE WORK
We assist in the educational systems by supporting initiatives implemented by the districts in the greater Seattle areas and the National Alliance of Black School Educators (NABSE). We focus our work interchangeably on seven areas: Students, parents, teachers, community, business, administrators and district personnel.
